The Beginnings

We have a deposit down on an apartment! It’s on the 19th floor, and it overlooks the park (and some slums, but that’s alright!) you get pretty much everything in your view when you are that high up. We are moving in on the 6th, and we are really excited for it. It’ll be good to have some alone time with just our family for more than a couple hours at a time.

We have a lot to do still, but we are just taking our time for now. We’ve eaten some good (and bad) food here already, and it’s an adventure. You can find almost anything to purchase here though, with a few exceptions. For example, you can’t find deodorant, taco seasoning mix, clothes for taller people (no good, “bu hao”), and some other spices and things like that. But there is a large store, popular in Germany, called “Metro.” It is kind of like a Walmart.

We will get some great pictures up soon, you have my word. We just need to settle and get into our apartment before I spend some time doing that.

Levi is finally caught up on jet lag. Those were a rough few nights, but we pulled through. He’s doing awesome here.

We’ll be posting again soon!

Until next time,
Jeremy

P.S. Something a little funny that happened yesterday… Jenny was coming back from being out and about, and she passed a hamster leashed to a tree with a small rope. We thought that was pretty funny. I got a picture of it, I liked it so much.
