Levi’s First Friends Come to Visit

Guess who came through Xi’an this past week?! Levi’s NICU nurses. As you may or may not know, Levi was born two months premature. He was in the hospital’s NICU for the six weeks following his birth, so he could be monitored, etc. During that time, we got to know the NICU nurses pretty well, and one of the head nurses mentioned passing through Xi’an the following year. We told her we’d be here, and we could meet up, and that day finally came!

It was so great to meet up with them! (The head nurse, and another nurse that worked there a lot as well.) They were very glad he was so big and healthy looking. They were only in town for a couple days, because they were doing a tour of China as a whole, so Xi’an was just a stop, not the main destination. They got to experience the Terracotta Warriors and some other neat places around here. They loved Xi’an, and they mentioned how surprised they were that it “wasn’t too bad” here, which is nice to hear.

We got to spend just a couple hours with them in their hotel lobby, and we all had a good time.

Levi is doing really well, by the way! He’s still not walking, but he’s very fast in everything he does. We expect it won’t be much longer until he does walk!

Until next time,
Jeremy
